Melamine & Wrap

Melamine is an organic compound that is often combined with formaldehyde to produce melamine resin, a synthetic polymer which is fire resistant and heat tolerant. Melamine resin is a very versatile material with a highly stable structure. Melamine can be also be molded while warm, but will set into a fixed form. When moulded over a panel or door with a groove in it we call it a "wrap".

Veneer & Stain Veneer

In woodworking, veneer refers to thin slices of wood, usually thinner than 3 mm, that are typically glued onto core panels (typically, wood, particle board or medium density fibreboard) to produce flat panels such as doors, tops and panels. This procedure gives you the look and feel of a solid wood kitchen with greatly reduced costs. Stain veneer is where we stain the layer of wood to a colour of your liking.

Solid & Semi Solid

Solid is term used where all the exposed (visible) panels are fabricated from solid wood. This is the most expensive product and prices vary sharply between various wood types selected. Semi Solid refers to where a combination of Solid and veneer is used.

Paint Technique / Supawood

Paint Technique is applied to what is know as supawood. Basically supawood is a bonded material made from wood fibres. The result is a lower cost wood product that is extremely strong and durable. Paint Technique kitchens are quite costly since a lot of labour is involved. The result however is a very unique kitchen which, if done right, will be absolutely gorgeous.
