Using Brookhil Fusion Melamine horizontally, added warmth, character, and depth to this client’s kitchen, while avoiding the full expense associated with using real wood.

This timeless kitchen, honors the surrounding architecture and the lines and patterns within the wood grain create visual interest. Its weathered wood cabinets (created with Brookhill Fusion Melamine), some gray-tinted glass cabinet doors, along with substantial white quartz worktops and an island in a waterfall design, foster a quiet, airy yet authentic atmosphere.
NATURAL LINES AND PATTERNS MAKES A SURFACE LOOK MORE COMPLEX AND LESS FLAT
HORIZONTAL LINES: Specifically, the horizontal orientation of the wood texture lines draws the eye across the space. This makes the kitchen feel wider or longer, and created a sense of stability and grounding, which was just the right dimension needed for the smaller kitchen in an apartment. Whereas vertical lines would have emphasised height which would not have made sense in this case, althoug the vertical Black Concealed Handles brings balance.
CONTRAST: Placed next to the smoother grey-tinted glass cabinet doors, the wood texture provides contrast, making both surfaces stand out more and adding perceived depth through this differentiation.
The Black Concealed Handles works well to unite the woodgrain and white cabinets.
