Open-plan balanced with floor-to-ceiling cabinets
Stepping into this recently renovated kitchen in a beautiful Garden Route home, it’s hard to imagine it was once a closed-off, separate space. The homeowners embarked on a journey to create an open-plan living area, and the heart of that transformation lies in this stunning new kitchen – a true testament to modern design and practical elegance.
A focal point that integrates! The addition of a spacious island where the cabinet-wall once were, not only provides ample workspace but also serves as a natural gathering point, perfectly integrating the kitchen into the newly open-plan living area.
VISCON WHITE: Worktops that make heads turn
No detail was overlooked. Providing a refreshing surface for the prominent island, the subtle veining and cool tones of the gorgeous Viscon White granite countertops lay a sophisticated foundation, effortlessly complementing the contrasting cabinetry.
Two-toned cabinetry
On one hand, you have the crisp, clean lines of Nordic Ice melamine, bringing a sense of brightness and airiness to the space. Opposing it, the deeper, more grounding shade of Dunblane Grey melamine adds depth and contemporary flair, creating a beautiful two-toned effect.
Bringing it all together – Sleek aluminium kickplates add a touch of modern refinement and durability, while the concealed black handles maintain a minimalist aesthetic, allowing the beauty of the materials to shine through and ‘pulling’ the black in the countertops to touch the tones in the Nordic Ice cabinetry.
Not just a place to cook
Having seen the “before” pictures, the change is truly remarkable. This kitchen isn’t just a place to cook; it’s a stylish, functional, and inviting hub for family life and entertaining.
